Joelle Taylor is a CIA agent previously known to the OSP as a teacher and the ex girlfriend of G. Callen.

Undercover[]
She and Callen were set up by his partner Sam Hanna and his wife Michelle Hanna on a blind date (Season 5 episode 14). Michelle knew her as the teacher who taught Sam's daughter in kindergarten. In season 6 episode 11 "Humbug" Joelle is held hostage during a case and Callen is forced to reveal his true job. This leaves Joelle feeling betrayed, but she forgives him and they agree to get to know each other better.
They eventually break up because of Callen's job and the number of secrets he keeps. They spend Christmas together before going their separate ways.
After the Mole Hunt[]
After the team tried to save Kensi, who was kidnapped by CIA agent Ferris and found Joelle gagged in her place, the team goes back to the Boathouse. There, Hetty reveals that Joelle is a CIA agent. Joelle confirms this, saying that her duties are usually to keep the parents of her students for the CIA under control, but she was later asked to approach Callen as well. She says her job was only to observe and report, even though her role changed when it changed. After talking, Callen forgives her for lying, though not for her betrayal. She points out that he would've done the same thing.
A kidnapping[]
After spending two days kidnapped by rogue CIA members of a group called the Syndicate, Joelle breaks free and goes to Callen for help. Although the team doubt her story at first, Kensi and Deeks protect Nick and Peter. Callen guards Joelle, while Sam and Hidoko verify her story.
