When a murder weapon in Idaho matches the one used in a national security case in L.A., Callen and Sam fly to the crime scene to join the NCIS: Red Team, a mobile team of agents who live and work together as they solve crimes in various locations. The teams soon uncover evidence suggesting a terrorist plot similar to that of September 11.
Callen and Sam head to Idaho where they meet their counterparts- the NCIS: Red Team led by Paris Summerskill.
Agents Paris Summerskill, Dave Flynn and Claire Keats along with former Agent Roy Haines and Tech Assistant Kai Ashe are all introduced for the first time.

Technical error; the Red team uses Glocks, it's common knowledge that NCIS standard issue side arm is the SIG-Sauer which is the case for the regular cast members of NCIS: Los Angeles (with the exception of Deeks who is still an LAPD officer and has used a Beretta 92F) and in the original NCIS.
