Peter Cambor (born September 28, 1978) is an American film and television actor. During the 2009–2010 TV season he appeared as part of the main cast of NCIS: Los Angeles, in the role of operational psychologist Nate Getz.

However in the second season Cambor's only appeared in 3 episodes as part of the guest cast as a result of him being removed from the main cast. He is credited as a Special Guest Star whenever he appears on the show.

Cambor appeared on the former ABC sitcom Notes from the Underbelly for two seasons. In 2002, Cambor starred in the films Up to the Roof and also in The J2 Project. In 2011, Cambor has been working with Brian Austin Green in The Wedding Band (TV series), as best friends who form a band to perform at weddings (the hour-long series also stars Lost's Harold Perrineau and Kathryn Fiore, Jenny Wade plus Melora Hardin).

Life and work[]

Cambor studied at Deerfield Academy in Massachusetts, where the curriculum required him to take an arts class: his mother suggested that he take an acting class, and he began formal studies to become an actor. Cambor acted both in high school and later in college productions at Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut, where he earn a BA degree in English in 2001. After further studies, Peter Cambor received an MFA from the American Repertory Theater's Institute for Advanced Theater Training at Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts (MFA in Acting, 2005). After working a while in New York, he moved to the West Coast.

In 2002, Cambor starred in Up to the Roof in the role of "Alexander" and in The J2 Project as J2. Five years later, after finishing his post-graduate degree at Harvard, in 2007, he also appeared in one episode of the TV series Numb3rs (in the character of "Logan Oliver").

In June and July 2005, Cambor had appeared as Schubal/Bess/Policeman, acting in the Gideon Lester play "Amerika or the Disappearance" based on the book by Franz Kafka, as a production of the American Repertory Theater at the Loeb Drama Center, in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Cambor landed the lead as an expectant father on Notes from the Underbelly after the sitcom's creator had caught his performance in a Los Angeles production of The Cherry Orchard, opposite veteran actors Annette Bening and Alfred Molina. From 2006-2008, Cambor played the role of the expectant father, starring opposite Jennifer Westfeldt, in Notes from the Underbelly (on the ABC Television network).

Cambor appears on NCIS: Los Angeles as Nate Getz, an operating psychologist in the Office of Special Projects. The role originated during a two-part episode of NCIS, named "Legend (Part 1)" and "Legend (Part 2)".
